Very strange countries. Been there, done it, hated every single second of it. Some of the roads are in very poor condition and can be dangerous when wet. Car & lorry drivers are un-cooperative, the slip roads are extremely short and traffic systems and signs are confusing. Holland has certain good things such as traffic signs on both sides of the motorway which, if your view is obstructed by a lorry enable you to see the direction clearly. Holland also hosts some of the best Moto GP and World Superbike races at Assen racetrack. We had no trouble with the police ourselves but we have heard rumours about over-enthusiastic police who are regularly very keen to ‘nick’ speeding bikers. Nothing more to say. Our advice is not to bother.
